We’ve made it to Week 7 of the NFL Season. With another two teams on bye, and another Monday night doubleheader, there are just 12 games on the Sunday slate, including the final game from London. Below are the five I’m most excited to see.
London Finale:
Los Angeles Rams (4-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2)
About: The Jaguars call London their second home. They make the annual trek there this year with a strong 4-2 record, chasing the Colts for the division lead. The Rams, meanwhile, have had a good season themselves. But they find themselves in a logjam with the 49ers and Seahawks atop the NFC West. Both teams want a win, but who will get it?
Early Games:
Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) at Minnesota Vikings (3-2)
About: The Eagles were the last undefeated team in the NFC. Now, they’ve lost two straight. But the team has had 10 days off to prepare. The Vikings, meanwhile, went 1-1 overseas before taking their bye week. Now, they come back for a big clash with the Eagles. Can Philadelphia right the ship, or will the Vikings take a step toward the playoff race?
Late Games:
New York Giants (2-4) at Denver Broncos (4-2)
About: The two teams who beat the Eagles clash in Mile High. The Giants are 2-4, but 2-1 with Jaxson Dart at quarterback. Dart has been good at home but was rough in his lone road game. The Broncos, meanwhile, haven’t been home in a few weeks. The team is now 4-2 and wants to keep the win streak going. Can the offense get going, too? This game will tell the tale.
Indianapolis Colts (5-1) at Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)
About: As hard as it was to believe a couple months ago, this is a battle of division leaders. It’s also a battle of two of the best teams in the AFC. The Chargers are beat up, but they just keep winning. The Colts, meanwhile, have thrived on offense thanks to the arrival of Indiana Jones. This one could have fireworks.
Sunday Night Football:
Atlanta Falcons (3-2) at San Francisco 49ers (4-2)
About: The Falcons have been a tale of two teams—great at home and a struggle on the road. They’re on the road in Week 7, coming off two straight wins. The 49ers, meanwhile, lost in Tampa Bay and keep losing key players on offense and defense. Can they get a home win to remain atop the NFC West? This is a big game for both teams.
