The NFL season keeps ploughing forward. We have a lot of interesting matchups and the return of International Games here in Week 4. Below are the five games on the Sunday slate I’m most excited to see.
Ireland Game:
Minnesota Vikings (2-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)
About: This is the first of the International Games, giving viewers a fourth window of football on Sunday. And it’s a decent matchup, too. The Vikings’ offense came back to life in Week 3 with Carson Wentz and Jordan Mason, and the defense stepped up its game, too. Now receiver Jordan Addison is back, giving them another weapon. The Steelers, meanwhile, have two wins but have looked shaky, especially on defense. Can they contain the Vikings and get a win in Ireland? This should be a lot of fun.
Sunday Early Games:
Los Angeles Chargers (3-0) at New York Giants (0-3)
About: You might be wondering why such an obviously lopsided matchup makes the list. Well, first off it might be a trap game for the Chargers, who are undefeated and made a clean sweep of the AFC West. But it’s also the first start for First-Round rookie Jaxson Dart, who takes over from Russell Wilson to try and get the Giants’ season jumpstarted. Let’s just say I’m intrigued.
Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0)
About: A battle of unbeatens is always going to be entertaining. The Eagles got the pass offense going in Week 3, making a huge comeback against the Rams. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, have been the cardiac kids, winning all three games at the buzzer on a field goal. This should hold our attention until the clock hits zero!
Sunday Late Games:
Indianapolis Colts (3-0) at Los Angeles Rams (2-1)
About: The Colts have been the surprise of the season so far, going undefeated and looking like a force on offense. The Rams, meanwhile, could easily be 3-0 as well if they could block for field goals. Instead, they are coming off a heart-breaking loss in Philadelphia and looking to get back on track. This should be a fun matchup.
Baltimore Ravens (1-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-2)
About: This is a matchup of two contenders in the AFC that have gotten off to a rough start. The Ravens have heart-breaking losses to the Bills and Lions. The Chiefs, meanwhile, started in an 0-2 hole before beating the Giants in Prime Time in Week 3. Both of them are desperate for a win, which should give this one some increased stakes!
