If you don’t have a quarterback, you can’t win games. That’s something the Titans dealt with in 2024. The hope was that Will Levis could be the answer, but it didn’t materialize. The Titans finished with the worst record in the NFL and the No. 1 overall draft pick. Can a good draft help turn things around in 2025? Let’s dive in.

Off-Season Changes

The Titans didn’t see many players leave. Veteran quarterback Mason Rudolph, who started some games for the Titans, left to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Defensively, Harold Landry left in free agency, joining former Titans’ coach Mike Vrabel in New England. Veteran receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine also left in free agency for the Dolphins.

In free agency, the Titans brought in veteran Brandon Allen as a backup quarterback. The team also signed veteran receiver Tyler Lockett to bolster the receiving group. Lockett has 661 receptions for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns in 10 years for the Seahawks. The Titans also added veteran receiver Van Jefferson and veteran guard Kevin Zeitler.

In the draft, the Titans spent the No. 1 overall pick on Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Ward completed 67 percent of his passes for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns last season. The team also added some receivers in the draft, including Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, and Xavier Restrepo.

Fantasy Impact

With Levis out for the season, there is no question it’s Ward’s team. How will he fare? I think he’ll end up as a high end QB3/low-end QB2. It will be a tall task to rehab this Titans’ team. In the backfield, veteran Tony Pollard was RB21 in 2024. I think he’s an RB2 again. Tyjae Spears is already dealing with injuries. He’s too unreliable for fantasy.

In the passing game, Calvin Ridley is the top option at receiver. I think he’s a WR3 with some upside. He could finish in the WR2 range. Among the rest, it’s hard to tell who rises to the top. I like Lockett as a WR5, and I think the rest will contribute from time-to-time. At tight end, I like Chig Okonkwo as a TE2. He’s been steady. But the team added Gunnar Helm, who has impressed in the pre-season. He’s a good dynasty stash.

The Bottom Line

The Titans were awful in 2024. They made some moves to improve in 2025, and they could be more fun to watch. But I think it’s a long shot to believe they could make the playoffs. Like the Colts, I think they end up in the five-to-seven-win range.
