The Ravens roared back in a big way in 2024. The addition of Derrick Henry gave them the hard pounder in the backfield they needed as the Ravens won the AFC North and made the playoffs. But, in the playoffs, the team fell short again. After another loss in the Divisional Round, they reloaded to look toward the future. Can they go further in 2025? Let’s dive in.

Off-Season Changes

The Ravens tried to grab Diontae Johnson for the stretch run, but it didn’t work out. He’s in Cleveland now. The team also moved on from backup quarterback Josh Johnson and long-time kicker Justin Tucker. Defensively, cornerback Tre’Davious White went back to the bills, while Brandon Stephens joined the Jets. Linebacker Kristian Welch also left, signing with the Packers.

To backup Lamar Jackson, the Ravens added quarterback Cooper Rush from the Buffalo Bills. The team also added to its receiving group, signing veteran DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins caught 56 passes for the Titans and Chiefs in 2024. He’s not what he once was, but he figures to add to the Ravens’ passing game attack. The Ravens also added veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Packers.

In the draft, the team loaded up at key positions. The Ravens spent a First-Round pick on safety Malaki Starks. In the Second-Round, the Ravens added edge rusher Mike Green. In the Third-Round, the focus was on the offensive line. The team added tackle Emery Jones, Jr.

Fantasy Impact

At quarterback, the team is led by Jackson. He was an MVP finalist in 2024, finishing as QB1. With his rushing upside, he’s a Top 5 option at the position again in 2025. In the backfield, Henry is the main force. He finished as RB4. I like him as an RB1 again this season. Justice Hill had flex appeal in 2024, but he could be splitting work with Keaton Mitchell in 2025. Hill is still the back I prefer, but he’s more of an RB4/5.

In the passing game, Zay Flowers is the top receiver, with Rashod Bateman a solid contributor. I like Flowers as a WR2 in 2025. Bateman and Hopkins figure to contribute. I like Bateman a touch more as a WR4 with WR3 upside. I think Hopkins is in the WR5/flex range. At tight end, Mark Andrews is still a TE1 option. He figures to have at least one more good year in 2025. Isaiah Likely stepped up in 2024, but he’s battling an injury at the outset of this season. I like him as a low-end TE2.

The Bottom Line

The Ravens were the No. 3 seed in the AFC last season and a contender in the post-season. It feels like little has changed. They’ll likely be pushed by the Bengals in their division, but along with the Chiefs, Bills, and Texans they remain among the contenders in the AFC as long as Jackson is healthy.
