Tomb Raider is a continuation of the games and follows Lara Croft who is having an event at her home. She soon realizes that a person has stolen an artefact from her house, leading her on a path of danger and mystery.

Tomb Raider was enjoyable, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. One of my highlights was Earl Baylon’s return as Jonah, which added a familiar touch to the series. While Hayley Atwell is a talented actress, her voice portrayal of Lara Croft felt noticeably different from what I was used to from the games.

This change made it hard for me to connect with her character interpretation. As a fan of the Tomb Raider games, I was particularly disappointed with how the show handled Lara’s character development. After experiencing her growth and evolution in the games, I felt that this adaptation fell short, presenting her as a somewhat different version of herself. It felt like the series didn’t fully capture the depth that made her a likeable character in the games and ruined all her character’s growth.

Overall, while I found aspects of the show enjoyable, I had hoped for a more faithful representation of Lara Croft and her journey. It was an okay adaptation, but it left me wanting more.

  1. I Think Eve Hewson would be great choice as Lara Croft Prime Video’s Tomb Raider
