Boy Kills World is an action revenge film about a boy named Boy whose family is killed, so he spends years training to get revenge.

Boy Kills World was a fun, non-stop action film. It felt like playing a video game. The story was creative and had good comedy. Many action scenes had clever and creative cinematography, and fights were extremely gory but all done in a comedic tone. For example, people’s arms would get chopped off, but they would continue fighting like nothing happened. What I enjoyed about this film compared to other revenge films is that you connect more with the characters, and the movie did an excellent job at making you understand the reason behind why Boy wants revenge.

The world was very crazy in the film, and this made you relate more to Boy. The cast was great, and Bill Skarsgård as Boy is exceptionally talented as he relies on facial expressions for acting, as he can’t talk. Jessica Rothe was pretty badass in her role, and I enjoyed Isaiah Mustafa’s performance in the movie.

The issue I had about the story was it lacked explaining. Throughout the film, the world is taken control of by this group, but they never explain how or why and what they believe in. An important aspect of this film is a list, but it was never explained how they pick and why they need it, other than people who may cause a threat. This didn’t make sense one bit due to numerous times on the list having children. Unfortunately, this film had lots of minor plot holes and numerous character or family choices that didn’t add up or make sense, for example, a scene about his sister near the end of the film. These small but essential issues took away some of my enjoyment from the film.

Boy Kills World has a fun, creative, unique story. The clever humor, action, and talented cast make this worth seeing. I would recommend watching for a fun time out at the cinema!
