For this all-important Week 14 we get not one but two games on Monday night. Both will be played at the same time, which should be fun! Below I’ll have a preview of both games but first let’s look at what we learned from the rest of Week 14.

Cinderella’s slipper might have a few cracks

The Houston Texans have been a great story all season. At 7-6, they’re still in the thick of the playoff race. But a 30-6 loss to the Jets didn’t help. It’s looking like a case of too many injuries for the offense. Tank Dell was lost for the season with a broken leg last week. On Sunday, the Texans entered without Dalton Schultz as well. Then, during the game, receiver Nico Collins left with injury and quarterback C.J. Stroud was knocked out with a concussion. It’s just one game, but the injuries are piling up for the Texans.

The Bengals aren’t dead yet

Two weeks ago, sitting at 5-6 and with Joe Burrow out for the season, it was easy to write off the Bengals. And yet, Jake Browning and the team have continued fighting. And they’ve done it against other AFC contenders. First, the Bengals handled the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road on Monday night. Then, on Sunday, the Bengals registered a 20-point win over the Colts. Now, suddenly, the talented Bengals are 7-6 and back in the thick of the playoff race.

The NFC South is going to be interesting

Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the playoffs as the winners of the NFC South. They were just 8-9. Heading into the end of the season, all four teams in the division had a shot at winning. It looks like we’re cruising toward another tight finish. With the Buccaneers beating the Falcons on Sunday while the Saints beat the Panthers, we have a three-team race with four games left. The Falcons, Buccaneers and Saints are all 6-7 and have all led the division at some point this season. This last four weeks will decide the NFC South and it should be a heck of a race.

And now, on to Monday night’s games.

Tennessee Titans (4-8) at Miami Dolphins (9-3)

Heading into the weekend the Dolphins were the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Titans, meanwhile, are the only team in the AFC South that are out of the playoff race. The Dolphins need a win to keep pace with the Ravens and keep a lead in their division. The Titans, meanwhile, are playing for pride.

For fantasy, Will Levis is a low-end QB2 this week, while DeAndre Hopkins feels like a WR3 for me. I have Chig Okonkwo as a TE2. Derrick Henry is talented and normally an RB1, but it’s hard to feel confident this game doesn’t get away from the Titans. He was an RB2 for me this week.

Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are all set it and forget it options. Tua is Top 12, as is Hill, while Waddle is a decent bet for Top 24. The backfield figures to be a mixture of Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane. I like both of them, but Achane feels like the one with the highest ceiling.

I’m taking the Dolphins by a good amount.

Green Bay Packers (6-6) at New York Giants (4-8)

The Packers stumbled in the middle of the season, but they have been feisty of late. At 6-6, they’ve back in the playoff race. The Giants, meanwhile, haven’t had the season they’d hoped. But technically, the Giants aren’t out of the race. A win on Monday night would give the Giants new life.

For fantasy, for the Packers, Jordan Love is a high-end QB2. He’s been solid of late. Aaron Jones may return, and A.J. Dillon is off the injury report. I don’t trust either. If both play, neither would be more than a flex for me. If Jones misses, Dillon could have low-end RB2 appeal. Christian Watson is out, so that means Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed take on new life. Both are in the WR3 range with upside for me. Dontavyion Wicks would be a deep league dart throw.

For the Giants, the passing game is a mess. Wan’Dale Robinson is probably the most appealing receiving option, but that’s a deep league Hail Mary. So, too, would be playing Tommy DeVito at quarterback. Saquon Barkley is a Top 12 option at RB and the only Giant I’m excited to fire up.

I am taking the Packers.
