Week 4 of the NFL Season doesn’t have a Monday night doubleheader, but it does have the return of London games. Below are the five games on the Sunday slate that I’m most bullish to see.
London Game:
Atlanta Falcons (2-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)
About: This is two young teams that have had good moments but are still growing. The Falcons started 2-0 but it wasn’t always dominant. Last week, they hit a wall in Detroit. Now, they travel across the pond to battle a Jaguars team that is hungry for a victory. The Jaguars won Week 1 against the Colts but failed to find any mojo against the Chiefs and Houston Texans in back-to-back weeks. They’ve traditionally played well in London, and they need it in Week 4.
Early Games:
Miami Dolphins (3-0) at Buffalo Bills (2-1)
About: The Dolphins are unbeaten and fresh off hanging a record 70 points on the Denver Broncos. The Bills lost a tough one on the first Monday night of the season but rebounded with two straight blowouts. These teams are both good and both serious contenders in the AFC. They are also going to be locked in a fierce division battle. This is the game of the week for me.
Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at Cleveland Browns (2-1)
About: This is a battle for the top of the AFC North. The Ravens were 2-0 and could well be 3-0 if they’d had some better luck against the Colts. The Browns, meanwhile, were dealt a blow in Week 2 but took apart the Bengals in Week 1 and the Titans in Week 3. This is a fierce rivalry and two teams that need to keep winning to secure a playoff position. This will be a heck of a battle.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) at New Orleans Saints (2-1)
About: This division rivalry is always fun, and these teams always play each other tough. That won’t change even if we get Jameis Winston versus Baker Mayfield. Each team is 2-1 and each has their sights set on a potential division title. Expect a lower-scoring game but a fun division rivalry battle.
Late Games:
New England Patriots (1-2) at Dallas Cowboys (2-1)
About: It’s always fun to see these teams clash. This is the best of the late window games and it more appealing than the night game this week. The Cowboys started off 2-0, besting the New York teams 70-10. They came back to Earth last week in Arizona and will be looking to get back on track. The Patriots, meanwhile, have arguably had the toughest opening schedule of any team. They fell short to the Eagles and Dolphins, a combined 6-0, before outlasting the Jets. Now, their offense and defense will get a test in Dallas.
