The Emmy season is upon us, and we are going to do a series here on Awards Central where we interview the talented individuals in the conversation this season. This week, we had the chance to sit down with the immensely talented composer Jeff Russo. Russo’s work this past year is incredible, from his chilling score in FX’s Alien Earth to his haunting work on Apple TV’s For All Mankind and much more. We had the pleasure of catching up with Russo to talk about his career, work over this past year, and so much more.
Jeff Russo’s FYC Portfolio:
- FX’s Alien: Earth (Score)
- Paramount+’s Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Main Title Theme and Score)
- Hulu’s The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox (Score)
- Apple TV+’s For All Mankind (co-scored with Paul Doucette)
As you can see, Russo’s work spread across multiple streaming platforms, and his range is remarkable. From his work on FX’s Alien: Earth, which delivers a haunting score, to adding a layer to the world of Star Trek and the brilliant Apple TV+ series For All Mankind, you can’t help but be awed by what he brings to each series.
We had the pleasure of catching up with Russo to discuss his work, what attracts him to these projects, and how he continues to deliver year after year after year.
