We started off with 12 musicians battling it out to become the winner of The Road. The new music competition show produced by Taylor Sheridan, Blake Shelton, and Keith Urban followed artists from across the globe performing weekly to stay on “the road.” As the show moves to Nashville, TN, the mecca of country music, three artists remain battling it out to be crowned the winner. I had the pleasure of chatting with Adam Sanders, Cassidy Daniels, and Channing Wilson head of the finale.

From the beginning, you could see the potential in our final three. With Cassidy Daniels, her powerhouse voice shocked audiences and won their vote, winning the top spot multiple times. For Adam Sanders, he was the seasoned veteran looking to get the biggest of breaks, and even through an injury, he found himself the life of the party. And Channing Wilson, the definition of country music, told his story through songs that captivated everyone.

I thought for sure this would be more than likely our final three about midway through the season, and I wasn’t wrong. However, as we move to the Ryman Auditorium, it is anyone’s game. Each of the artists brings something different to the table that could win over Keith Urban’s audiences to take home the big prize.

Ahead of the finale, I had the chance to sit down with the trio to talk about their journey on the show. From what they’ve learned from being on the road with one another to performing in front of an audience that isn’t there for them to performing at the country music gem in the Ryman Auditorium. This was a great chat, and don’t miss the season finale of The Road this Sunday on CBS.
