The 83rd Golden Globes are set to air on January 11 and will air on CBS and Paramount+. Nikki Glaser is returning to host the show once again, which sees plenty of big-time stars and filmmakers in the running for the night’s top prizes. Today, I share my first predictions of the season for the Globes in the film categories. With a balance of two different groups, it makes the race such an intriguing group of nominees. 

With the Golden Globes splitting the musical/comedy and drama categories, it opens up the race to ten best picture, actors, and actresses. As we have seen over the years, this could provide the opportunity for any of these artists to make a last push to put their names in the hat for the Oscars. Top films like Sinners and F1: The Movie that came out earlier in the year, could see lots of love from the voting body, putting them back on the map. While performances from Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Allen White, and Sydney Sweeney could use the nominations to get that final nudge into the five of their respective categories.
