In a league of his own, Hamilton’s 39 million followers total more than double that of the second-most followed driver, providing him with huge earning potential as his following spans across not only F1 but fashion, music and activism.
The second-highest-earning F1 driver on Instagram is fellow Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc. With potential earnings per sponsored post reaching up to £42,800, the only Monegasque driver in F1 history has a distinct style that resonates with luxury brands, making Charles the prime target for sponsorship and big deals.
Despite being the three-time world champion and most dominant racer, Max Verstappen ranks as the third-highest-earning F1 driver online. Although he is less engaged on Instagram, he could still earn up to £32,800 per Instagram post – more than the average annual salary in his home country.
Carlos Sainz is estimated to earn up to £26,500 per Instagram post, placing him fourth. His huge following showcases his legacy in the sport, earning more than some of the bigger teams in the rankings. Lando Norris follows in fifth (£23,000) due to his Twitch streaming and popularity in esports. Despite having fewer followers than Sainz, Lando’s highly engaged followers maximise his earning potential on Instagram.
