  1. Glass Stepping Stones

According to Pinnacle’s analysis, Glass Stepping Stones stands as the deadliest game in Squid Gamehistory. The game involved contestants attempting to cross two parallel bridges by jumping across tempered glass panels while avoiding weaker panels of regular glass. While only 13 players died, just 16 participated, meaning contestants faced a staggering 81.25% chance of death. In this high-stakes round, fewer than one in five made it out alive.

  1. Mingle

The second most deadly game in Squid Game is Mingle. During Mingle, players had to group up and enter rooms following a predetermined number. If players don’t manage to make it into the rooms in time or if a room has fewer or more than it’s supposed to have, they will be eliminated.  Out of 255 participants, only 100 survived, which is equivalent to a chilling 60.78% fatality rate

  1. Marbles

Taking third place is Marbles, featured in the fourth round of season 1. The game involved players choosing one partner with whom they would play a marble game of their choice, with the losers eliminated. Though the death toll of 22 players may seem modest compared to other games in the series, it was out of a small group of 38. That works out to a 57.89% death rate, making it the last game in the franchise (so far) to cross the 50% threshold.

The games in Squid Game with the highest odds of survival

  1. Six-Legged Pentathlon

Season 2’s first original challenge, Six-Legged Pentathlon, ranks as the safest game in Squid Game to date. It consisted of five children’s games: ddakji, flying stone, gonggi, spinning top, and jegi, all to be completed within a five-minute time limit. With a death rate of 30.14%, players had nearly a 70% shot at survival and advancing to the next round, Mingle. Out of 265 participants, 110 were eliminated, relatively merciful by the show’s standards.

  1. Red Light, Green Light

Arguably, the most iconic of the series, Red Light, Green Light, is surprisingly not among the deadliest. Played in both seasons 1 and 2, it has an average death rate of 37.95%. That said, the season 1 version was far more lethal, wiping out 55.92% of contestants. Only 255 players advanced from an original 456.

  1. Sugar Honeycombs (Dalgona)

Sugar Honeycombs might be a player’s final chance of survival, before putting their odds of death at 50% or higher. In the game, contestants were tasked with using a needle to carve a shape out of a piece of dalgona without cracking the honeycomb. Players who broke their honeycombs or did not finish in time were eliminated from the game and executed by guards. This game, featured in season 1’s second round, has a death rate of 42.25%, eliminating 79 out of the 187 in attendance.

Despite his failures in Season 2, Pinnacle’s analysis forecasts that Seong Gi-hun is the player with the highest odds of surviving Squid Game’s third season.  As an ESFP, he’s known as a trailblazer. Connecting with his fellow players, forming bonds with those around him and becoming their beam of optimism is a natural task. Player 456 continuously showcases his high-stakes adaptability, from quick decision-making during Mingle to prioritizing teammates’ input in the six-legged pentathlon, which increases his likelihood of survival.  Despite this, his impulsive tendencies and fear of being deprived may lead him down the wrong path.
