Pinnacle can reveal that Leonardo DiCaprio has the most popular Oscar winning speech of all time. The winning speech occurred when DiCaprio finally won Best Actor in 2016 for his leading role as Hugh Glass in The Revenant, with the speech racking up more than 56 million views on YouTube. DiCaprio received a standing ovation as he picked up his award, after five acting nominations, and was keen to use his moment to speak about climate change saying: “Climate change is real – it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.”
