Music tourism in the UK is at an all time high, with 19.2 million overseas fans travelling to the UK for live music, a 33% increase from the previous year. It is evident that European tours are increasingly popular, but which tours are most in demand in 2024?

With this in mind, the experts at SeatPick analysed the ticket availability of all European tours available on their platform between June and December 2024 to reveal the most sought after tickets.

Ed Sheeran’s concert date in Sofia, Bulgaria, is the most in demand

SeatPick can reveal that Ed Sheeran’s concert in Sofia, Bulgaria, is the most sought after European tour date, with just 0.0023% of the venue capacity remaining on resale sites for the Vasil Levski Stadium. The average price for a ticket is £190, which is £9 cheaper than Ed Sheeran’s tour date on the 7th of September in Larnaca, Cyprus (£199). Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour features five times in the top 10 ranking, making him the most in demand artist currently touring Europe.

The Jonas Brothers’ rank second, with just 0.0026% of the venue capacity remaining on resale sites for their Exmouth, UK, date. The Jonas Brothers are currently touring across 16 countries and their European leg was pushed back from May to September, making fans anticipate the concert even more. The Jonas Brothers’ tour features three times in the ranking, making them the joint second most in demand act to see this year.

Ed Sheeran ranks again in third place with his Larnaca show, resulting in Larnaca experiencing unprecedented demand for hotels and tourist accommodations in early September due to Ed Sheeran’s tour.2 Closely followed is Coldplay concert in Dublin on the 29th of August with 0.00061% of the venue capacity remaining on resale sites. Coldplay is playing in Dublin for four nights, each night with a capacity of 82,300 people.

The Era’s Tour misses out on the top 15 

Surprisingly, none of Taylor Swifts’ Eras Tour dates have made it to the top 15. However, Swift’s most in demand European date is Vienna on the 9th of August, with just 0.3008% of venue capacity remaining on resale sites. Taylor’s most in demand Wembley Stadium event is on the 19th of August, with 0.3789% of its capacity available on resale ticketing sites.
