Day 2 of the tournament saw the Legion XIII take control of the team leaderboard, and Tyrrell Hatton had a great day, finishing with a three-shot lead over the Crushers’ John Catlin. Hatton, looking for his first solo victory in LIV Golf, shot a bogey free 7-under 64. John Catlin, filling in for Charles Howell, has impressed many with his impressive two-day ten-under, putting him in the main bunch heading into the final round.

No reserve player has ever finished in the Top 5, and Catlin is ready to showcase his ability to the world, saying, “I’ve been here before, and I can honestly say I’ve won before, and I can do it again,” he said. “I’m going to go out and control what I can control, and we’ll see what happens.

DeChambeau, coming off his huge win at the U.S. Open, is battling through the aftermath of winning such a big tournament. From the TV appearances to the fans chanting his name, the distractions have not stopped him from shooting great in Nashville as he sits in third place tied with Jon Rahm heading into the final round.

Speaking of Rahm, his availability was in question this week with his foot bothering him said he felt as close to 100% as he had all week after round two. He shot an incredible 8-under 63 with nine birdies on day two putting him in position for the final day.

Here is what Rahm said about the injury: “I wouldn’t say completely, but I played nearly 18 holes pain-free,” said Rahm, who opened with a 1-under 70. “That’s probably why I hit it so much better. Yesterday it bugged me a little bit, and it’s just in the back of your head for a second – at least it was yesterday. But not today.

He continued saying,“I feel like the more I play, the more comfortable I’m going to get with it. I’m always confident I can shoot low. I just didn’t know how it was going to play out.”

With Rahm having a strong second day and Hatton continuing to lead the charge, Legion XIII has taken charge of the team leaderboard. The team sits five shots ahead of DeChambeau’s Crushers and the Majesticks sitting nine back. Here are the team standings heading into the final day.

Other Notes:

The Nashville crowd is PACKING around to see Bryson DeChambeau as they are following him around every hole to get a small glimpse of the reigning U.S. Open champ.

Of course, the party at the 15th hole continued with everyone looking on, hoping to see someone hit a hole-in-one because if they did, one lucky person would walk away with $100,000. RangeGoats GC Captain Bubba Watson came the closest of anyone yet, coming within 3 feet of making the ace on Saturday.

We covered a lot of ground on Saturday watching Abraham Ancer, Tyrrell Hatton, and John Catlin tee off on the 1st hole, but we also caught some footage of Joaquin Niemann, Dean Burmester, Anirban Lahiri, Jon Rahm, Richard Blend, and Henrik Stenson teeing off at hole 18.
