LIV Golf is making its first visit to the state of Tennessee this week becoming the 12th state to host an event. Our very own Ricky Valero and Chris Clarkson are on the ground covering the event, and ready to share all the information from each day of the tournament.

LIV Golf – Nashville Day One Recap
Legion XIII Press Conference: Transcribed by colleague Chris Clarkson and via LIV.
Legion XIII Participants: Jon Rahm (C), Tyrrell Hatton, Kieren Vincent, Caleb Surratt
Jon Rahm was asked about his foot infection. He said he was feeling fine, and read to “walk & hit.”
Caleb Surratt – how are you feeling coming back home to play in Tennessee?
Excited for some of his friends and family to see him play professionally for the first time.
Rahm was asked about the upcoming Olympics: Excited to play in a great city (Paris) and golf course, even notes that the course Le Golf National is one of the better courses he has played.
Tyrrell Hatton – asked about how it feels finishing in the points (top 15) in every LIV tournament this year: Feels okay about it but is frustrated he hasn’t yet put himself in a position to win on Sunday yet.
Kieran, we are more than halfway through the season. Can you talk about what this experience has been like on LIV Golf for you and how it’s impacted your life and your golf game? Yeah, I mean, nothing short of awesome. I mean, it’s pretty cool that — I never really sat in many press conferences, let alone attended any of them, so now to be sitting on this side and sharing the stage with a bunch of pretty cool guys with me, you can’t ask for a better first couple of months out here on LIV.
Notes after the Press Conference
- We saw Jon Rahm hitting during warmups and moved well on his foot. Still seems to be working out the kinks, but looks like he is inching closer to being back into full swing.
- Cam Smith was spotted working on his putting game ahead of the tournament.
- You could feel the excitement from fellow LIV Golfers about Bryson DeChambeau win. Even at his press conference a few of his colleagues came in to congratulate him on the big win.
