We wanted to share some exciting programming updates from leading free streaming television service, Pluto TV, for July.
Launching on July 1, the 24-hour Godzilla Channel on Pluto TV will feature over 30 films spanning the eras, including several that are otherwise not available for US fans to stream, and the 1998-2000 animated adventure Godzilla: The Series. The lineup also includes the fan-favorite films Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and Godzilla vs. Biollante directed by Kazuki Ōmori, which have been largely unavailable to US fans for streaming or purchase for many years. You can find a full description of the channel below.
The King of the Monsters has made landfall on Pluto TV! Emerging in 1954, Godzilla has become a global icon and symbol that has transcended time and pop culture. After debuting as a terror that descended upon Tokyo, Godzilla has fought numerous foes and gained new allies over several distinct eras. While each film stands alone in its own moment in time, the evolution of Godzilla followed advancements and film and technology along with cultural trends, yet always staying rooted in the origins from 1954.
