We’ve arrived at the penultimate week of the NFL Season. While a number of seats at the playoff table have been decided, there are still plenty of teams fighting these last two weeks to make it in. That includes one half of the matchup in the Thursday night game. Let’s dive in.
For the last of the Thursday Night Football contests we get a doozy as the Dallas Cowboys travel to battle the Tennessee Titans. The Cowboys, at 11-4 on the season, are in the playoffs. They still have an outside chance to win the NFC East if they win out but it’s looking more likely they’re locked into the No. 5 seed. The Titans, on the other hand, are mired in the midst of a terrible stretch. The team was 7-3 in first place in the AFC South and seemingly cruising toward a playoff berth. After five straight losses, the Titans find themselves looking up at the Jacksonville Jaguars with two weeks left to go.
Not helping matters is that the team is missing Ryan Tannehill, forcing the Titans to go to rookie Malik Willis. Though 1-2 in three starts, Willis has yet to throw a touchdown or eclipse 300 yards for the season. With Derrick Henry doubtful, there isn’t a single Titan I would want to play in this matchup.
For the Cowboys, Dak Prescott is a QB1, CeeDee Lamb is a WR1 and Dalton Schultz is a Top 12 option for me at tight end. The Cowboys’ backfield has been a split between Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. Pollard is questionable, but assuming both play they’re RB2s for me. The rest of the Cowboys’ receivers are dart throw flex options.
