TNF Preview, Week 13

Who plays on 'Thursday Night Football' tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 11 | Sporting News

December football is upon us and this week’s first game features a pair of teams that did battle on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys are a traditional Turkey Day host, but this year the visiting Raiders treated them rudely as they left with a 36-33 loss. The Saints hosted the evening battle and fared even worse, enduring a 31-6 beat down at the hands of the Bills, their fourth straight loss. Both teams are in the playoff battle and both are looking to get right Thursday night, so who can get it done?

The powerful Cowboys’ offense has been missing some pieces of late. Amari Cooper went on the COVID list and missed the past two Cowboys’ games. He still hadn’t practiced this week. COVID has hammered the Cowboys of late and will keep Head Coach Mike McCarthy from participating Thursday as well. The other Cowboys’ star receiver is CeeDee Lamb, who suffered a concussion in Week 11 and missed the Thanksgiving Day game. He’s practiced this week and appears on track to return, giving Dak Prescott another weapon for his arsenal.

For the Saints, the offense has been thin. Both Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara missed the Thanksgiving battle with the Bills while Taysom Hill has been dealing with a foot injury. Ingram seems a lock to return Thursday, while Kamara is questionable with his knee injury. Hill is well enough to serve as the Week 13 starter in place of Trevor Siemian, who has started the last four games. The Saints are quickly fading from the playoff picture and looking for a spark.

In terms of fantasy, if Lamb plays he’s in my lineup. I’m also starting Prescott at quarterback. In the backfield, Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard are both decent plays, while I see wide receiver Michael Gallup and tight end Dalton Schultz as viable fantasy options, too. The Cowboys’ defense has been improved this season with a penchant for creating turnovers. I think that might be the case again Thursday.

For the Saints, if Kamara plays he’s in my lineup, but it will likely bear watching until game time. While Siemian didn’t hold much fantasy appeal, with his running upside I would like Hill this week, ranking him in my Top 12. If Kamara is out, Ingram is a flex option. There aren’t any passing game options I feel confident about but Marquez Callaway seems to be the best touchdown option.
