Earlier this summer, Universal Pictures gave select audiences (in IMAX theaters) a look at the first five minutes of footage from the sixth installment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise. They’ve officially debuted that same footage now to excite audiences for what has always been noted by “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow as THE movie they’ve been building towards:
I never watched “Fallen Kingdom,” and after the first sequence plays like a VFX reel, I can’t help but feel a little excited for the atmosphere built around the drive-in theater sequence. The lighting choices, including those on the pursuing helicopter, feel familiar but more than nostalgic, they feel aimed to help the creatures feel real.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, written by Colin Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael (story also by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly), and produced by Patrick Crowley and Frank Marshall, Universal will release this in theaters June 10th, 2022.
