Music City Film Critics’ Association Award Nominees

NASHVILLE, TN – DECEMBER 23, 2019) – The Music City Film Critics’ Association is proud to announce the nominees for the Music City Film Critics’ Association 2019 Film Awards. The association is comprised of 30 professional film critics that live and work in or around Nashville, TN. 

The winners will be announced on January 10, 2020.

“Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood” leads the nominations with 9 including nominations for Best Picture, Best Director – Quentin Tarantino, Best Supporting Actor – Brad Pitt, and several others.

“Parasite” (8 nominations), “1917” (7), “The Irishman” (7), and “Jojo Rabbit” (7) also had strong showings.

Scarlett Johansson garnered two acting nominations. She is nominated for Best Actress for her work in “Marriage Story”, and for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Jojo Rabbit”.

Clint Redwine, president of the MCFCA said, “This was a great year for great films across all genres and styles. Our list of Best Picture nominees includes mega-blockbusters on the big screen, indie films, a foreign language film, movies from streaming platforms, and a documentary. It is going to be a very difficult process trying to pick the winners this year because we have so many deserving nominees in all categories.”

With their nominations, the Music City Film Critics’ Association also released their top 10 films of the 2010s. They are: (In alphabetical order)
